Lipiile mai sunt cunoscute \u0219i sub denumirile de p\u00e2ine libanez\u0103, ar\u0103beasc\u0103 sau sirian\u0103, dar termenul grecesc de \u201epita\u201d reprezint\u0103 cea mai larg r\u0103sp\u00e2ndit\u0103 denumire a preparatului \u00een \u00eentreaga lume. \u00cen mod tradi\u021bional, lipiile orientale sunt coapte \u00een cuptoare speciale amplasate \u00een aer liber.<\/p>\n<p>Nu este cunoscut c\u0103rei culturi orientale \u00eei este datorat\u0103 prima lipie, \u00eentruc\u00e2t multe societ\u0103\u021bi pre-romane au dezvoltat \u00een acela\u0219i timp variante specifice ale preparatului.
