Pe numele sau latinesc,<em>\u00a0Curcuma longa<\/em>, turmericul este o planta inrudita cu ghimbirul, din tulpina subterana a careia \u2013 fiarta, uscata si pisata marunt \u2013 se obtine o pulbere aromata, bogata in curcumina (care este considerata de unii specialisti a fi cel mai puternic compus antiinflamator din natura). Cu cat adaugi mai mult turmeric, cu atat aroma va fi mai pregnanta, de aceea ideal ar fi sa incepi cu o cantitate mica si apoi sa o cresti treptat, daca vei constata ca iti este pe plac. Ai nevoie de aproximativ 2 lingurite rase de turmeric la 1 kilogram de legume proaspete, pentru a realiza un preparat gustos, care beneficiaza \u2013 in plus \u2013 si de un aspect interesant. Cum obtii un preparat mai apetisant? Lasa totul 2-3 minute pe foc, apoi completeaza mancarica de inspiratie asiatica adaugand lapte de cocos din conserva. Din cauza aromei puternice, nu vei putea prepara un smoothie doar din turmeric si lapte vegetal, insa in combinatie cu fructe, legume si fulgi de ovaz, vei pune pe masa ta o bautura\u00a0 hranitoare si plina de beneficii pentru sanatate.
